I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where i can get some FREE GOOD artwork. I am not sure what type of game i want to make yet, but if I could get my hands on some good artwork it might help inspire me and give me some ideas. I have looked at SpriteLib but it isn''t what I am looking for. 2D animated sprites and still images is what I need. Also if you know of a place to get 3D models that can be loaded by OpenGL or Direct3D Thanks
Check this out. I think you will like it.

yes, i have already seen the character packs and it is pretty good.......but the thing is.......i would need the artwork to create the world around the "Ranger" in the character pack........
believe me, i am possibly the worst artist that ever lived so making it on my own is out.......i have tried though, it just doesn''t happen........thanks for the reply though
What perspective is your game in?

I started creating a game based on the character pack mentioned. A stratego-meets-chess sort of game. Then I noticed a problem in the animation which annoyed me no end.

Notice that when people walk, one leg moves forward, and the opposite arm swings forward at the same time? This is natural motion, keeping the body balance etc.
Now, if you try hard, you can manage to swing the same arm forward as the leg moving forward - it looks really unnatural. Problem was, all the characters in the character pack had this unnatural motion And I thought I had finally found some nice character sprites after ages of searching.

Oh well, you can''t have everything I s''pose.
