Hello, I had a simple program which would plot a 1000 random pixels onto the screen. Worked fine with win98, now with 2000 the pixels flah up quick and then the scren goes black. The same thing happens with my bitmap program, nothing. I have the exact programs running fine on a win98 machine, any ideas on what might be causing this, or is anyone else having this problem? ps. I rewrote my f****** bitmap loader 4 different ways. What a waste of 4 hours
There's always something smaller and something bigger. Don't sweat the small stuff and don't piss off the big stuff :)
I''m facing the same problem as you. It seems that I can''t access video memory directly with Win2000. After locking the primary surface and managing to plot a few lines, my screen goes blank and the program exits. No errors. Nothing.

I think it''s probably a driver problem or something about the Win2000 architecture(which prohibits you from directly accessing memory). Just for fun, Andre''s DirectXtasy program doesn''t run either.
