Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the 1980''s video game, Defender? Stanley

is this defender the atari 2600 defender??

Offhand, my first suggestion would be to check out MAME and some arcade ROM sites... Of course, I''m sure you''re aware of the leagal issues with that.

If you want to get the original game for free, you''re probably gonna have to end up pirating it... I know it''s in one of the arcade action packs.

Other than that, I''d be willing to bet that there are a ton of share/freeware Defender clones; you could also look into getting one of those. If you ask the producers really nicley (particularly if it''s freeware), you could also probably convince them to send a copy of the source your way (if that''s what you''re looking for).

Where can I get those? I have tried searching under "defender", but I didn''t turn up any such references.

I got a whole bunch of matches by pulling up Google (www.google.com) and searching for "defender clone shareware pc"; the at least the first two had downloadable clones (I haven''t actually tried the games since I''m at work).
