Maya 4.0 export - tiled textures

Helo I made a plane in Maya 4.0. I map the plane with uv, and then I applyed texture. I then changed 2D teksture parameters of plane, so that texture is tiles (10 X 10 tiles) over that plane. In Maya 4.0 everything renders fine. Problem: When I export to .x file, the plane is NOT tiled. Q) What is the problem? Please help. I am desperate.
Sounds like .x doesn''t support tiled textures as Maya does it. Tile it manually instead. If .x supports UVs outside the 1-1 mapping space (I have no idea if it does) you can tile the texture by scaling up the UV coordinates so that they are bigger than the texture. If that doesn''t work you will have to tessalate the surface and map separate quads as a plane in order to tile the texture.
