is The program Game Programming StarterKit 4.0 any good for a bigginer who is trying to learn C++

I started with Game Programming Starter Kit 2.0 (which included VC++ 4.2) and I found it more or less useless. I only used VC++ 4.2 because the other programs were too advanced for me.

I would recommend buying VC++ alone then in a Game Programming Starter Kit.
