hi! does anybody know about some good soft-shadow tutorials? i''ve tried NeHe''s shadow tutorial, but it severely slows down my game... thanx in advance follow the yellow brick road

I don''t think you will find soft shadows which dont slow down your app... Most of them use stencil buffer... that SHOULD slow down your app (If they dont something is wrong)....

You could use projective shadows (google will show u the way)

Check the red book - it does soft shadows using the accumulation buffer - but you need to redraw the scene for the amount of lights you have...more slowdown
