3D Studio Max 5 Help!!!
Hello, Im VERY new to 3d studio max 5... I got myself into a project for school, and now im struggling... I have two boxes. They are aligned RIGHT next to each other. I''d liek to make them into one object so that they are seemless and when I apply a material, it applies to both, without any seems... Thank you very much!

You''re really gonna have to buy a book, pal. I recommend "3D Studio Max <Ver> Fundamentals" where <Ver> is the version you are using.
In regards to your question, there is an "Attach" button (I think under the "Modify" tab). Click the first box, go to "Modify" tab, click "Attach" and then pick on the second box. Incidentally, why can you not just use one big box?
When I first started using Max I tried to join things using the "Connect" button :-(
