directsound
I don''t know how to make effects with directsound for mp3 files.
I can read them but how can I set gain, position, velocity, orientation, pitch, etc... with directsound?
I must use directsound because OpenAl doesn''t work with mp3 files.
So, like OpenAl (with source and listener), how can I make that?
Dowload the DX8 SDK from Microsoft''s homer and take a peek at the examples provided in the multimedia/directsound/ folder. There''s one on effects and I believe I got the knowledge positioning stuff from there, too (query a listener interface and 3d buffers for each buffer and you''re set - just remember to leave the listener flag to normal, not headrelative - just a little something that became totally frustrating after two days )

I''m sorry but I''ve installed dx 9 and I don''t find neither any source nor any samples to help me for my problem with directsound.
So, please, if you have some sources with directsound, send them to me!
Thanks

Did you install the DirectX SDK (Software Development Kit) or just the runtime? Both are available at Microsoft''s homepage. The SDK should be > 100 Mb in size.
