After doing a little bit of research, I''ve found that there''s apparently tools out there to browse NES ROM files and fiddle with them. Does anyone have a name of such a tool and where I can get it from. Certainly just a name of something someone knows will work will get my started. I ask because I want to reproduce a game with classic graphics and would like to get hold of them from the hidden depths of the ROM. Thanks...

I googled it, but "NES ROM ripping" tends to come up with a lot of warez sites offering ROMs and DVD ripping software :/

The reason I chose here was I didn''t want to bother NeHe with the question and he seems to use something to rip NES graphics for his Zelda Game.

Well, I don''t want to sound harsh but it''s a 3D forum here, and you won''t get much replies for something else than 3D. Moreover, if you get any reply they may be wrong.

Maybe that google shows you warez sites, but after what is the matter ? Those warez know better than anyone else how to rip something.

I know that NeHe uses the Zelda ROM. I''m not sure he''s violating copyrights (for instance he may have the rights for "education purposes") anyway I''d rather ask him himself.
