Experience with the bigger publishers?
With all the mergers going on these days in the game biz, does anyone have some up to date recommendations on good publishers to approach to publish a strategy title?
Im thinking of the guys one step up from the budget publishers like egames, has anyone got good/bad experiences with talking to the big publishers these days?
Thanks in advance

Well the biggest problem is getting a decision out of them. Far too many fail to respond or keep you hanging on for an answer.
Also up there is making sure that your presentation is up to scratch cos you usually only get one chance to submit a product. Check out http://www.obscure.co.uk/the_pitch.shtml for more on that.

Yes true, most don''t respond, even if you follow the guidelines, communicate well etc.
Nowadays it will become more and more difficult for the independant third party developers (team).
Publishers have already (some famous) developmentpartners they hired for some projects (they fund) and they have there own developmentstudio''s.
