Java runtime environment
I was able to install the j2re 1.4.1 on my system, but if I go to web pages that have java applets embedded in them, it says I don''t have the java-vm application, and prompts me to download it. This was while using Netscape 7.01 and Mozilla 1.2.
I noticed there was a plugin folder that got extracted and it had netscape plugins, but whenI tried linking the plugins to the /usr/local/netscape/plugin folder, it immediately crahsed Netscape, so I quickly undid that.
How do I get the java VM working for my web browsers?

Never mind, I got it figured out. In case anyone is having the same problem, here is where I found the solution.
It only seems to work for mozilla based browsers though (tested it on mozilla and netscape and it works, so I assume galeon too...I don''t know about Konqueror or Opera though).
