I tried to add a texture that is as big as my desktop to the box from tutorial 6 and it came back all white. Then I made a 32 x 32 pixel picture in paint and it loads fine, can someone tell me how to make a larger picture fit on my box?

the picture that u read in what was the resolution? if it was not a power of 2 u will have problems.

the original image was 1024 x 768 and the sonly time ive had it work perfectly is when trying to use a image that was self drawn and 32 x 32

unless you use certain extensions your going to have lots of trouble not using power of 2 texture dimmensions... ie, 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024... etc... resize your desktop image to either 512x512 or 1024x1024 and it should work.
