Very impressed! Aboutthe skin tone comment, That looks to be a result of the lighting not a problem with the texture. And I like the grass personally, it has a soft, serene look to it.
so, why you wont tell us what program you used and what tehnique(im really not into spelling)?

looks like you may have fixed it in the second pic, i cant tell. in the first one, the staff is VERY plain and doesn''t match at all. either make it smoother (glass, even) or rougher, like a real one would be.

very nicely done, I´d spend some more time on the iksetup though, somehow the pose looks a bit wooden... angle the arms a bit more, let the midsection slide back just a little (cause now it looks like he has a stick up is butt).
