You need at least a Windows NT (using NTFS filesystem) in order for vs.net to work.

But i heard that Microsoft provides something which Windows 98 can install vs.net too? I forget the name of the file. Hope i am not wrong! Search microsoft website for more info.

Thank you.

you need windows nt, but not because of ntfs (vs.net could care less about filesystem it''s installed on), but because of the nt kernel.

you can install .net framework on win 9x, even though it''s officially not supported. afaik, there is no way to run vs.net on win 9x.

The Framework SDK is not supported on Wintendo. The runtime is.
