Well, this is just a little something I did tonight, I will probably work on it again sometime, how is it, and what should I work on...? The shading on the ground seems a little weird, its it becuase there are 2 different lights? or is there only one light in the lamp?

over all its very nice, not very complicated shapes but nice textures

Nice brick texture on the wall. It needs a base though. Some thought provoking graffiti would be cool.

I would put some more time into the street lamp model. Especially near the base of it. The addition of a nearby green street sign with the name of the road in plain site would be nice (GameDev .Ave).

A nicely textured old soda can, paint can or perhaps some small broken pieces of dark colored glass along the base of the wall. Maybe several pieces of news paper curving around in the air as if it were windy out.

The dark shadow behind the vertical pipe makes it seem like it is at night or in a dark alley. I have a .3DS model of a cockroach around here somewhere. Some nicely detailed old trash cans or wooden crates come to mind. Cig butts are a lovely detailer.

I think it is a cool image overall.

Thanx, I wunna do a street alley at night, and be able to look down it, and see like snow and trash and everything, but, for now I am just experimenting...

Where can I get textures of like soda cans and such...?

Here is a couple cans. One is a Max model and the other a lightwave model.

Krisc, I REALLY liked your work, and the feel is perfect for my game. If you can do that on a large scale (I need a NYC type city, a sandy desert, a genetic research facility, and a couple of warehouses), I could really use you. How about it??
