Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there could point me to some useful information on applying AI specifically to driving cars, i.e. controlling the acceleration, braking and steering, etc. I''m interested in using G.A.''s to create drivers with different behaviour sets with the ability to get around circuits without crashing, avoiding other cars, etc. Thanks in advance

I think you should search for a site called RARS. They have a ai-project concerning AI-controlled cars. They use a simple gfxinterface to illustrate the track and race.
The code for all cars are free as far as I know.
