Is there any program anyone knows about that allows me to open a *.tar file in Windows? "You TK''ed my chicken!"

Since when does Winzip open TAR files?

"You TK''ed my chicken!"

WinRAR also does TARs
I am not sure about WinZip, but I know for sure that Ultimate Zip can save to tar files (gz and bz2 compression). Try it out.

Well I''ll check it out. I''m on ME, so WinZip is built in, but it doesn''t support TARs. I''ll go look up classic winzip and ultimate zip tho. Thnx.

not sure when exactly, but IIRC winzip 7.0+ does support .tar files.. I even remember getting a prompt in winzip 8.1 that said if you want to extract the files in the .tar to a temp directory before opening the list (the same goes with .tar.gz files too)
