Hello all, I''m learning directx with c++ and I''m using visual studio 6 to develope. A friend of mine suggested me to use Borland Compiler. What do you think of it? Many thanks for answering, :-) Python Spin the wheel of fortune - or learn to navigate.
Hey Python, i would recommend trying out a few compilers and see which you like best.

I use DevCpp, which is available for free download off bloodshed.net, and if you want a free and easy to use compiler you should check it out.

Don''t know about Borland, never used it before.

I hate the Borland compilers. They suck, aren''t ANSI compliant(The ones I tried) and the syntax highlight is crap. VC has a great user interface/IDE so why use something else? Most ppl in the industry use VC.

So thanks to all for your replies. I think I''ll still use VC++.
Seems not to be crap in your eyes, and you''re right .. it''s self-explanatory, like each other ms-product.

Have a nice day guys ...
