hi all,
i work at nike and have been doing quite a bit of 3d lately. been using cinema 4d and a little lightwave on a mac. i am interested in getting a pc just for 3d apps, and was wondering if anyone could help me. i am looking at like a P4 2.4Ghz and will be building myself. i would like advice on motherboards and video cards.
suggestions?
thanks
Cinema 4d WOO HOO.
Sorry, its rare that anyone ever comes on here saying they use the proggy
I''m no hardware expert though... I''d invest in a nice dual G4 mac if I were you though. Them things are schweet.
Truth be told, in the long run, the system you run doesn''t matter. Sure, things take longer, but impressive things are still possible.

thanks man,
i realize that the mac is fine for many things, and i have a dual 1Ghz. problem is it bogs down on 3d objects that are not even very complex. like a dog. I am going to be buying Rhino so that i start doing some product design and 3DS max also so that i can do some other stuff.
