Im yet to see the movie as well, but will be seeing it within a few days if all goes to plan.

Ill also have a Radeon9500 in a few days if all goes to play, so that I can make good use of ARB_fragment_program. Damn I love that extension, but cpu emulation makes it harder to work with.

Maximus: fragment programs are great, but please remember that the contest should be able to run on a wide range of graphics cards. It''s a bit strange that you develop for extensions that only ATI supports (now), according to your signature

I always have a codepath that will run on standard OpenGL 1.2, which it falls back to if desired extensions arent found

Its been a week since ive been on the site (NeHe)...im sort of on vacation. Ive been reading and heres what i think weve got so far:

- Long deadline - maybe when the return comes out
- all (good?) artwork must be shared one month before the deadline
- there might be an entrance fee but that may not be practical...maybe something like a developer´s journal for each demo entered may benifit the site more

Here´s what we still have to talk about:

- the prize...when i say fitting prize i mean something that means you one the two towers programming contest, not just went out and bought a g force 4...the g force 4 is nice, and expensive, but its not something you can show your friends or be proud of. I was thinking more along the lines of perhaps the one ring ($70 i think) or perhaps sting ($120).
- we can also experiment with ways of getting more demos entered from people who say they will program one (like me). Perhaps a form dedicated to people entering the contest. The ability to share files would also be nice.
