Problem Compiling x-File Exporter for 3DS Max 5
I just downloaded the SDK for DirectX 9 and it seems Microsoft's only shipping the source code for the .X file exporter. Ok. I just need to compile it and drop it into the correct folder, right? Only problem is that Max.h from the 3DS Max SDK references a file called ctl3d.h and I don't have that file anywhere on my PC. I took a quick search on Google and it seems to be a file for the Win16 part of Windows 95 - is that right? Can I just download this file and drop it into a path on my PC and then compile? I'm just afraid that I'd start using it only to find that 6 months down the road everything I've exported with this is corrupted or something.
I'm using Visual Studio .NET, DirectX 9 SDK, and 3DS Max 5.0 on Windows XP Pro. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
