This is a 27-page long talk about the AI in the game Halo. It essentially goes over every single topic you could want to know about, except the literal "code" behind it. Most of it is concepts, implementation, etc. Still very interesting. It gets much more in-depth the further you go into it. Anyway, here''s the link.. Thanks. Looks very interesting. By the way, besides the article in this months Popular Science, does anyone know where I could find something similar to this article but on MASSIVE (engine used to create the battles in LOTR)? I''ve looked and have been able to find close to nothing on it.

Now this is a good resource. I have seen a lot of AI implementation examples, but this is by far the best.

The tree is good cover.
The enemy tank is not good cover.

I cant find the 27-page talk about halo AI here - just some intro-stuff. Did they remove it..?

------------------------Why of course the people don’t want war. ... That is understood. But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship ...Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. Notice the "previous | main | next" links on the top right? Use them.
