Multiplayer lobby system
Hi everyone. I am at my wits end here. I don''t know C++ but I do know some VB. Basically I''m a 3D animator, and I use commercial game engines to develop games with. What I''ve been looking for is a basic tutorial that can teach me how to use VB or C++ to make a lobby system that runs within my game (i.e. run my game, click the multiplayer button and runs the game lobby). Can anybody here help me out? Thanks in advance.
DirectPlay 8.1 or soon to be 9.0...thats all that needs be said. Its a multiplayer API included in DirectX. Take a look at the VB samples that come in the MSDN...they should get you on your way.
