killingpeople is an interesting user name, mind devulging the origin?
i had never posted on forums,
i had just always gotten frusterated trying to make sense of people in chatrooms.
during my first week of attending the art institute of phoenix i stumbled into an igda meeting, the first one apparently, i thought it was a speech from someone in the game industry,it ended up being a representitive from discret, so i decided to stay. from what i know, they had just begun to set up an igda phoenix chapter in arizona with the help of an art institute game art instuctor who was able to get them access to rooms for meetings on the institutes campus. the same instructor set up a forum where people could goto to get information for the phoenix chapter, made up mainly of game art students that were attending the ai of phx. i went to the site to check it out and decided to post some comments on others works, killingpeople is a friend of mines email address. "technically" i stole it from him, i thought it was cool and wasnt planning on posting on the forums much longer, unfortunately i became addicted in a way and got in some interesting arguments, everytime i get on the internet i drop in and check out what is going on. i met some guys through the site that liked my sarcasim and honest critiques and asked me to go draw strippers with them, that was intersting as well. from there i got banned, let back on, banned again, then let back on. from the one i heard of others and from those heard of sites that had links to others, like this one i read about in an igda article.
people at school started asking if i was "killingpeople", and started calling me "killing" so .. i was stuck with it really. much better than cory anyways, its gotten old after 22 years.

Update:
The pic looks great, and those pipes, time and time again amaze me, they look really...galvanized?....
And the green chemist''s gloves really add to the cyberpunk(for lack of a better word)/post-nuclear-war feel of the whole thing...
As for Red Planet, I''ve managed to scrounge up a temp artist to do some work for the game. Don''t worry about it, keep working on those paintings instead...
Great job.
Cheers,
Raymondo

Good Work!. Nice color.
Now for some honest criticism.
The body proportions and musuclature(sp?) are not quite right.
Keep studying the human body. You can learn alot about detail and proportion.
I belive there is a cheap (~$20) figure study class with live models at the Mesa Community colledge.
Keep up the good work.

sorry about that, i am extremely honored that you would ask! that is unfortunate for me. i think i have seen an advertisement for your game somewhere on the net, it could have been for the movie. i was wondering if you had a site for information on your project and if it isnt to much of a bother, i was wondering if you could send a link my way. if you need help in the near future i ask that you keep my help as a cosideration, i am working on getting a working computer so i can do my homework as well as get my hands dirty in the mod and demo community to get some more experience. i keep kicking my roomate off his computer so i can finsih this painting before christmas. i didnt realize you were actually a company, how foolish of me. thank you for your comments and take care.

i took a philosophy and an art class at mcc before enrolling myself at the art institute of phoenix, their art program is wonderful, i would say better than the art institutes for certain. i learn more in the *half* of an art class i took at mcc than all of few i have taken here at the art institute. i had an excellent teacher at mcc, and the classes are much shorter at the institute, a quater goes so fast here.
20 bucks! that is a hell of a deal! i have, i think, two more life study classes in my course and am currently finishing my second.
thank you so much for your time.
i have much to learn.
you are right, the anatomy and the proportions are off alot. it works as a stylized painting, but i do need some more anatomy study, the human body is amazing and very complexe, i find it very confusing, almost impossible!
his hands where small and i changed them.
his head was too big so i shrunk that.
his shoulders were perspectively wrong, i changed that and people didnt like that much. they said it lost ''something'' and i agree.
i think his elbow is extremely annoying, and his neck is all wrong but i rather like it all funky like that.
i think it looks too clean.
this is my first painting in painter and i have learned a tremendous amount from it. hopefully the next will take less time.

finished.
2 more hours, 1 of which i struggled with the arm only to bring it back to what it was. i asked for critique outside of this site and the what people had the most problems with was his arm. i tried to fix it but the only way to make it correct was to repaint it .. and in repainting it, other errors that i know about would be revealed - adding to a heap of trouble.
sense i need to get this ready to get printed out for a christmas present, i had to make due and just learn from it.
i would like to thank everyones constructive criticism, comments, and anyone that had watched along the way.
this image is 50% the actual size.
i roughly rounded this digital struggle to around 40 hours. that is the longest i have ever spent on any piece of artwork.
