I have a character that is one large mesh. I have converted it to an editable mesh and using face selection I have selected one of his arms. I want to rotate it down to his side (ATM it is horizontal to the ground). However, the arm rotates around a point near it''s hand. How can I move the transform gizmo to his shoulder joint. I know how to move the gizmo for the entire body when I just want to rotate that, but when I have only a section of the mesh selected, as with an editable mesh, I can''t seem to move the gizmo. It just unselects the selected faces (vertices). Thanks

Since it''s a single mesh, it only has one pivot point. so you can''t really change the point of rotation for just the arm, as far as I know, without setting up a bone and IK joint system.

Why not rotate the arm to whatever angle you want, then move it into the correct position to fix the stretched out edges at the shoulder?

Again, if you''re trying to do an animation, you''ll be better off setting up a bone system.

hope that helps,
