I thought only inbred, braindead southerners used "ought" these days.
And what word would you suggest to replace it?

It ought to, at least to the erudite ones. CQFD stands for "Ce qu'il fallait démontrer." This is the functional equivalent of the Latin expression QED ("quod erat demonstrandem", IIRC). Both mean, "Which was to be proved," and are used to show that the desired conclusion of a particular set of problem-solving steps has been reached, and the answer provided.

Quelle culture! Ah, ZE, ne cesse jamais de partager ton vaste savoir avec nous!

I''ve never heard of CQFD, although given the context I was able to relate it to QED. Either way, though, I prefer W^5. I speak english, so should my proofs

Heh, I'd actually never heard of w5, but I guessed it was "which was what was wanted," and Google confirmed. Gotta love inductive reasoning

Wha..? A word multiplied by itself doesn''t make sense. It should be 5w
Is the abbreviation set closed under multiplication by a scalar quantity?

a,b are vectors.

If you know that |a|=2, |b|=3 and |a+b|=3, how wolud you find the coordinates of vector a and vector b?

jarod83,
