Does anyone know a good place that will explain calculus to a beginner? I am having a hard time finding any. Maybe something with integrals, derivitives, limits and that sort of thing. C ya Simon

Yeah, Google is what you need. However, just a few small things to get you going -

Derivative ~ rate of change of curve
Integral ~ Area under curve

Ah, but im not yet in it Calculus doesnt start for another 2 years for me.

I personally think a good textbook and a (human) teacher is the best source to learn any kind of mathematics. Tutorials just seem to lack... something. See if you can get your hands on the textbook used by the Cal I class at your high school.

Your local library should have good mathmatics materials. Even if not a school textbook, you should be able to find something that suits your needs.

You will need a thorough grounding in algebra.
Next, you need a book.
You will want a thick one, the skinny ones dont explain enough.
Next, you need to grab someone whos your calc ''guru''- someone that you can hit up for help.

Then open to page one- _don`t skip anything_- start reading, and do the probs, pulling hair out as nescassary.

Repeat until book.done() == true

Simon did not ask for the answer to a homework problem, and clearly shows a desire to learn for himself. Plus, calculus is applicable to game development.

Yes, I am doing this for my own learning purposes. I probably should have mentioned that. I was told that by learning calculus it would greatly help me understand physics, and I am beginning to see why.
