I was working on something in Gimp, and I wanted to use the font ''impact'' which is a Windows font. So I go and load up Mandrake Control Center and tell it to import my windows fonts. But instead of askimg me which ones to import, like 8.x did, it goes and imports them all. So now I''m stuck with all these ugly Windows fonts that just look ugly in Linux! Is there a way to get rid of them?

Depends on which font mechanism you''re using. XFS (X Font Server) uses certain files that contain lists of the fonts to activate; you''ll need to locate and modify said files (I forget their names however). Also, is the fonts look ugly it means you probably don''t have anti-aliasing (or at least font anti-aliasing) on.
