Biped's in opengl
Hi,
I need to create an animated biped in OpenGL, what''s the best way of doing it so? Im wondering if it is best for me to use for example 3Ds max to animate a biped and then load the animation to opengl looping it so that it seems to walk.
Is there any other way of doing it? can u point me some links to documents about the matter?
Thanks for your time,
Anfernius
if youre feeling ambitious, look into skeletal animation and forward/inverse kinematics. Check out this link: http://freespace.virgin.net/hugo.elias/models/m_ik.htm
If your feeling less ambitious, tour on over to my site. This is the result of skeletal animations in 3D Studio. Of course, I'm using DirectX but ultimately the ideas are the same. Cruise on over to Real Soon Now for an in-depth tutorial. Although, he uses Milkshake3D.

And if you do not feel really ambituous, grab an MD2 file and load it up in your app. Plenty of tutorials around for it like
