Depends on what you mean by "simple." If you mean simple like "Notepad," you can write a perfect clone of Notepad with under 50 lines of VB.NET or C# code. If you mean simple like "Microsoft Word," I recommend you work your way up first. [grin]

You can make Notepad without a -single- line of code, when using MFC and VC++6.
i mean like notepad. Is ther anywhere i can ge a C++ command list

i think he wonders if it is possible to use notepad for programming.

in that case, it would depend on access to a command line compiler, which most languages use. so the answer would be yes, you can use notepad for writing code
