Hi messageboard users. Here''s a tough one. Slackware 8.1, fresh, full install. NVidia drivers properly installed. Things should be fine and dandy. However, they are not. Upon running the eminent game Quake 3 Arena, the game seems terribly slow. Almost as if it was lagging. It is not, however anything wrong with the FPS. The FPS counter is constantly at 125 FPS. I really can''t find anything on usenet or the net about this, either the problem does not exist for others, or I can''t find the correct search terms. Could it possibly have something to do with the fact that the machine in question has 2 ethernet cards, and via iptables acts as a gateway to an ADSL connection for another machine, and thus taking network packets to localhost through some extra hoops or something (like in quakeworld when you start a server on your own machine and join it with the client)? I have no idea. Do you?
i doubt that is the problem .
is it lagging when you play single player deathmatch ?? is the graphics lagging or just the player movements ?? when it lags, can you change your view easily, i mean can you view round without lagging ??

Thank you for your help, the problem seems to have solved itself now, though
