OK this should be an easy one. I am running the nehe tutorials and they are running very slowly, so I''d say they''re in software mode. Can anyone point me to some code to select hardware rendering? Thanks Always code for the platform with most units in circulation.

I don''t believe there is a way to switch to a ''hardware mode''. Make sure your video card is OpenGL compatible and that you have the newest drivers.

I could help more if you tell me what kind of video card you have.

Good luck!

It''s an old 12 meg voodoo2. Q3a detects it fine...

You might want to go on google.com and search for the Voodoo Underground drivers if you dont already have them. But since it is a VooDoo it runs in glide mode, not opengl. So when running things in opengl on a voodoo2 it will seem like its software rendered because the card isnt made for opengl, its made for glide. Go get a new video card, theres no other choice.
