DIRECT3D: RETAINED-MODE OR IMMEDIATE-MODE
I think all complete games should take advantage of direct3d using immediate-mode so you can take care of possible optimizations with graphics. On the other hand, I think it is ok to use retained-mode for a simple program that can show an object to see what it looks like with the lighting style and other things used in the game. I posted this not really to show an opinion but to bring on an open discussion.
