Everyones making RPGs these days....
Every game programmer''s ultimate dream is to make a good 3D game (at least mine is.), and I guess RPGs are the closest you can get to 3D without having to worry about texture tapping, physics, and all that other stuff. Besides, they''re fun!

I was making an RPG several month ago but then I found that rendering 3D graphic with Povray (because I have no money for other modeller) is tedious so now I am designing a 3D modeller. I would want to continue with my RPG after I finish the modeller. I found RPG programming is very easy but the story and graphic is difficult. I hope to include some suspense/mystery/detective story in my RPG because I like reading mystery book unfortunately I am bad in writing story.
Here''s why people make RPGs:
1) they are fun
2) they are relatively easy to code, seeing as most RPG''s are made 2-D without comprising game play in any way whereas with other genres, most people want 3-D and/or the game is much better with 3-D.
If you code it, they will come...
