What is the difference between Visual C++ and C++?

I looooove programming! Even at my young age.
it was probably called ''Visual'' c++ cos it comes with MFC (microsoft foundation classes) AND a resource editor: which makes making windows ui''s as easy as in visual basic (ie you can ''draw'' your dialog box, hence visual!).

...anyway, thats just how i think they came up with the name ''Visual C++'', cos that''s all it is: a name.

btw: i know you dont need to use mfc in order to ''draw'' a resource...before anyone jumps in and corrects me...
