Here is 2 game ideas that i was just thinking about - i will not b making these games because i thought up of a better idea so you can use them any way you want - i didnt add too much detail to them as i decided not to opt for them - these are the rejects that i''m sure you can alter to make a cool idea - seen as u guys are game idea thinker uper people. Brought to you by Cúchulainn. - I would like to know what you think of them though. My email address No 1 type: strategy/shoot''em up code name: house robots description: very like z steel soldiers only set in a house. You could also take control of many of your units in full real-time 3-D. Therefore for instance you could take over a plane and bomb the enemy base (which would be in another room). There will be different advances in technology i.e. you would start off using world war two planes and machinery and finish using futuristic weapons and bombs. Some problems with this would be that it will be too much like Z. steel soldiers, however it will be very good because you could take control. It would also be very good for Internet game play. 1 on 1 would b classy as it would the ultimate strategy game setting up all sorts of defences and attack schemes - it would b thrilling online and have unlimited possiblites as you would not know where you''re enimies units are - also - there would b an infinate amount of allowable units - you really need to know Z steel soldiers to know how good this might turn out to b No 2: type: action/adventure code name: space wars description: the ultimate space game. You would be able to be in any of the popular Star Trek or Star Wars spaceships and walk around in them the way they do in the series/films. It would be brilliant and would attract both Star Trek and Star Wars fans. It would take a lot of processing power to render an entire ship and would also take ages to render the twenty ships or so that would be necessary to make the game good. However I could make a system whereby the people that use my game would be able to make their own ships provided that they are limited to specific parameters so as they are not to good of ships and do not monopolise the Internet space. By the way, most of the play would be online, where people/clans would take control of starships and fight/form alliances with other ships. Clans would be well organised into captains, Lt''s, first officers and ranks like that. They clans would be much better organised than in red faction because it would need to be for the starships to function properly because there would be different tasks to do throughout starships. There will be also a lot of freedom because you could do anything, destroy your own starships, takeoff on a shuttle, land/beam down to a planet. However how in gods name am I going to render and make all of this. I will need to set up a system whereby people out to their Star Trek/Star Wars universe. It would be a big endeavour. Its possible. But your not going to do it yourself. A massive company wouldnt take it on because its too big. Also - all games die out when others come along so your better off to have a smaller one.

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Sorry, I’m not sure if this is a joke, if it is, then it''s funny, if it''s not, I''ve got a serious post below this:

(Serious Post)

Ok firstly if you have ideas, please respect them!! They are YOUR Ideas! Your creativity is a gift and so with that said, THINK THEM OUT MORE!!!

Take those ideas and just dedicate a week and come up with a decent outline including; Title, Genre, Description, Gamplay, Possible Audio, Art references etc. You will find that you can take anything and make it into something good if you just keep thinking on it.

Secondly, I''d like for you to do some research before you choose to pursue and idea. Basically break down each aspect and look it up in great detail. This will help you visualize what you will and wont want to work with, and most of the time it will bring some aspect of creativity and originality to whatever concept you have because when you research you''ll find that your idea has been done many times over and you''ll probably be discouraged from doing the exact same thing. Also, other individual’s works help to show you different perspectives then you have more resources to feed from.

Lastly, don''t take this as a lecture, sarcastic post or anything like that, because I''m dead ass serious and I''m only trying to be helpful. From experience, if you really want to do great things you cannot show slack in any area. Grab one of you ideas and design it out to the fullest, have it shot down and reconstructed it again and again until it''s viable, THEN if you want attempt to give it away (by that time though , i seriously doubt you will do that). It doesn’t matter if your a game designer or not, this goes for anything.

Good Luck anyhow

peace
