is this just restricted to places in the states?

i''d suggest a few over here in england - sussex and reading are supposed to have excellent ai programmes, as indeed does imperial college... i personally went to loughborough where i think the ai teaching was superb - i know i''m probably biased, but i''d recommend it to anyone that''s interested in ai (that''s ai in general rather than specifically for games which seems to be rather a popular question)...

if you''re looking to do ai, i''d also agree that having maths is a very good foundation and will certainly stand you in better stead than going in there completely fresh...

don't sit back and let life take you where it will...
grab it by the horns and wrestle it to the ground...
you'll only end up talking about missed chances if you don't...

YAY!

/me loves the netherlands

Government pays most of my college fees And it also gives me an added bonus: free use of public transportation in the whole country.

Bit late I know, but I''d better stick up for Edinburgh University (in Scotland), when I was there it had a damn fine AI department with excellent resources and staff. I think it''s been combined with the CS Dept into something called ''Informatics'' (bleurgh), but I''d imagine the teaching is to the same high standard.

Having a degree in ''Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science'' certainly helps you get a foot in the industry door!
