I want to set up a 256 color palette in a bitmap with a good range of colors from red to purple along with some gray... but I have 16.7 million colors to choose from! I assume different art programs have different palettes for bitmaps when you create one from scratch, and they just don''t suit me. Is there a fast way I can set up a palette like this without having to pick each color by hand? I have Paint Shop Pro 7.0, but I''m not familiar with any tricks. --- Help points: 2 (Eh... Well, in PSP you can decrease the number of colors used in your picture (or palette). Explore the menus a little, you''ll find an option called "decrease color depth". Do that until you have just 256 colors (8 bits).
