Experienced Artist for Hire
My name is Pete Sekula and I'm currently searching for a position in the gaming industry. I'm proficient in 3D Studio MAX with a great knowledge in Maya 4.0. I am also familiar with the animation system in Softimage XSI 2.0.
For the last year and a half, I worked at LIPSinc (www.lipsinc.com) producing 3D, textured, animated heads for facial animation using multiple methods; geometric bones, max standard bones, and morph targets. These methods were used in rigging and animating models I've created that had varying polygon counts. I've also rigged and animated content for use in the Unreal Engine.
I've mastered Adobe Photoshop in creating textures for models, scenes, etc., while applying them to perfect UVW coordinates.
If you want an artist who just wants to make great games, works great with a team, and who's determinded to get the job done, then please contact me. I'm very willing to relocate.
Samples of my work are available at http://64.49.225.45/pete as well as my resume.
Thanks,
Pete Sekula

Funny how nobody is answering when it seems the most needed position on any team is a good artist like you. Good luck!
I do need you, but I have no $, and it seems that an artist of your caliber would require some.

Best of luck Pete.
Perhaps when my game takes a bit more shape and I have a better feeling that it will actually launch I''ll come back and wave a carrot unde ryour nose
I''m trying to get some professional help like yourself to kickstart a MMOLG but it''s a zero capitol venture. I want to do it just to prove there are professional people out there that can get the job done without investing 4 million dollars into 3 years of dev work and release utter crap =)
Cheers.

Way to describe a mass majority of the game development industry there.
I too would really like to have some help but I cannot pay you. I currently Lead up the art department at www.redwyrm.com as well as perform admin, design and art direction on my own project with Conshape. I am semi professional, but I dont make money.
Your 3d work is pretty decent and im sure you will get work quick. i wish you luck with it. If you really want to get up some fans, create a demo reel. I am in the process of composing two demo reels right now. when i graduate from college i will have a masters in digital animation but the most important thing is those reels.
just a suggestion.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I appreciate it.
I''m not really ecstatic over the content I have on my website. I want to do more, but I have a certain mindset: "Which should I do to get better? Keep drawing and learning anatomy, or keep modeling and finish the demo reel?"
Personally, I want to draw better. My drawing skills are pretty lacking, in my opinion, and I feel I''d become a better modeler and designer through better drawing skills.
I''d like to be part of a team creating a game or a mod for a game, but I can''t do it online. It''s difficult to motivate myself to do work for these projects when everyone is scattered all over the world. I''ve had experiences in the past with mod groups where people would just drop the project or not get anything accomplished.
