Hi, First off, my apologies for the non-games related question. I do not know of any other networking message boards that would have been more suitable. Basically I want to read the serial port (com2) 30 times a second. I have a button wired to the serial port that will send a pulse when it is pressed. I don''t need to transmit at all. Does anyone know of any sites that contain c or c++ information about reading the serial port? I have searched google, but even when specifying windows or win32 I am getting mostly Unix sites. Thanks for your time, Alan

Yes they did, the CreateFile stuff is exactly what I was after.

Again, thanks.
