Neverwinter ngihts editor
Does anyone use the NWN editor??!??!?! it has one of the best item creations systems in the world. But, what struck me as nice was that they have a system to stop people from making absurdly strong weapons.
What they do is that, you can assign a property to an item. And, if you do, it adds to the experience you need to use it.
Other than that, it''s a very easy to use editor. If you''re looking for an inspiration for a level or world editor, Neverwinter Nights.

Hehe sorry couldnt help it after the GDLounge thread
As for NWN, I havent used the editor, but the item system sounds cool. I might be tempted to look at purchasing a copy and trying it all out.... still need a new computer though :/

I bought NWN last week and I spent all weekend using the editor (my wife''s pissed!).
I''m kind of amazed how much I could accomplish with this toolset. I created an area that''s divided into four separate, color-coded areas. These sub-areas correspond to four different PvP factions. Each sub-area has a dragon that acts as the faction leader. Walk up and talk to the red dragon and you can ask to join the Red Team. Once you''ve joined a team, you''re fair game to the other three factions. Players that are not on a team cannot kill or be killed. Each faction has a separate room that acts as their headquarters. The HQ room can only be accessed via a faction portal that only allows that faction''s members through.
All of that in one weekend!
The conversation editor made it very easy to give my dragons personalities. The scripting is superb--especially the online support for it. The only real gripe I have about it is that the tilesets are somewhat limited.
NWN simply rocks!

The system is based on 3rd edition D&D, so item creation is all controlled from rules under D&d...
Something I''ve been trying to figure out is...how do you use other tilesets in your area, like if I wanted to have a forest scene with a beach...?
