Age has never been an issue in learning. It all boils down to a question of motivation:
- are you really motivated to learn to draw ?
- are you motivated enough to take the time to learn to draw ?

To add to drawing references, to my mind, the best and easiest learning book can be found online at www.saveloomis.org. It is written by Andrew Loomis and it is called Figure Drawing for All it''s Worth (do not try to find a paperback version, it is no longer edited).

Hope that helps.
