"Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it." — Brian W. Kernighan
Maybe it''ll finally get a decent interface. With this, someone should fork off several open source modeling projects and integrate their best features: the Blender backend and functionality with I3D/K3D''s good looks and accessibility. Throw in some decent free documentation and Milkshape will finally have a contender in the budget sector.
Blender has an excellent interface, I think.
It''s meant for speed....it''s not a ''window'' cookie-cutter interface, like most apps are

Speed? Sure, maybe, when you''ve been using it for 2 years...

I personally like the interface the way it is. With the exception of having to memorize dozens of key combinations it''s about complete.
There has never been a 3D modelling application with an interface that smoothly co-opts the Windows GUI model. In part, this is because so many modellers started as UNIX applications ("look and feel? you mean, like a braille reader?"), and in part it''s because 3D is more than Windows was built to work with. Consider for a moment the complexity inherent in working with a 3D scene on a 2D monitor.
