Hello gamedev.net users! Some of you may be aware of the relatively large rpg creation scene out there. If you are aware of it, then you must know of the program, "RPGMaker 2000". This program, though mass-used, is 100% purely illegal. Our goal is to create a site fully devoted not to game development in general but to RPG Creation, in all it''s legal forms. Be you a coder, a graphic designer, or a composer, we want to be there for you and your needs when it comes to making your own game. We have a talented team working around the clock to pull up news, tutorials and resources that will make the task of RPG creation amazingly simpler than it is now. Not just console style either. We''ll be covering PC game creation as well, such as Neverwinter Nights, right up to the old P&P style games that people know and love. And on that note, we will also be covering aspects of commercial RPGs, though our focus will still be mostly on homebrewn games. However, it''s users that make this kind of idea work, and that''s what we need right now. We have set up public forums at http://www.rpgsource.net/ and would love to see you there. Your feedback and opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you. RPGSource Dev Team -X13 -Moonstruck -Seifer -Basic -Cygnus
I''ll wrap my wire around your heart and your mind...
Im just curious, how come RPGMaker 2000 is illegal? I''ve never used it before, but I''ve heard of it.

As far as I know the only english version was for the PS-1. Those rpg2000 people always use graphics ripped from rpg roms, How many people do you think actually owned chrono trigger back in the day? Although there are some talented pixel artist out there contributing.
a lot of people owned chrono trigger back in the day. Computers werent fast enough to run emulators efficiently.
