Need help!!!!!!!
Hey guys,
I recently bought a copy of "Opengl game programming" and was wondering if thats a good place to start. I know a good amount of c++, but have never made a game before (unless a big text adventure is a full game). The book teaches beginner to intermediate 3d game programing, and windows programing but it doesent have 2d,just 3d. So should I just skip learning 2d and go learn 3d??

OpenGL doesn''t do 2D, only 3D. And if you plan on creating games these days, stick with 3D. You might want to brush up on your math also. As for 2D, you can emulate it or use SDL if you really want to code games in 2D.
