However, I've decided that I really can't understand procreate Painter classic. I guess it's a simulation of how real art materials work, but it's missing a lot of digital art tools that I've come to rely on, and I can't seem to understand which of the paint types are transparent and which are opaque. I think I'll stick to the GIMP and Inkscape (GIMP's interface might be slightly confusing, but at least I'm getting used to it by now. If only I could find GIMP's line tool...).
Anyway, here's my present vision for Project Alpha Redux! (Programmer Art Warning!)
I'll try to simulate a conversation from that image:
RED: I challenge you to HEXAGONAL COMBAT!!!!
BLUE: Ha! I am the MASTER of HEXAGONS!!! You will be defeated!
RED: A Hexagon Master?! In that case, uh, could you tell me how to actually play this thing?
BLUE: Ummm, actually I don't know either.
RED: I think no-one does.
I guess I really need to figure out what the heck the actual game is in there!
The game you're developing is interesting as not too many puzzle games are hexagon based, I always see the match-3 bubbles and tetris-style falling block puzzles everywhere.
