Welcome to a new episode of Birding devlog. Today I will tell you more about birds and how to find them.

As I mentioned before, there will be a daily system that impacts on behavior and activity of birds and the occurrence of specific species which means that you have to consider it while looking for them.

Birds can see or hear you and because of that, they can fly away from you. That’s why you need to be quiet and unseen. You can walk, run, jump, crouch, climb or slow walk but remember that every move makes noise. Wear camouflage clothes to be unseen.

How to recognize birds?

At the beginning of your journey, you don’t know any birds. During observation and taking photos, you learn about them. There are 3 levels of knowledge of birds.

1 Star - You can immediately identify the species of bird by looking at it through binoculars/camera.
2 Stars - A given species of birds leaves behind a trail that fades more slowly.
3 Stars - Once you have 3 stars, you can detect a species in the area by hearing its singing or other noises,

How to find birds?

In the beginning, you will find them during your walk. As you will know more about birds you will have more knowledge about where to find them.

You can also spot birds from lookout towers, hear them during walks, and lead their voices.
