MUAHAHA!!! DO MY BIDDING BEAR!!!!!

I'm getting too old for this sort of thing. I've been coding non stop for far too long, and crashed pretty hard last night. But the level is mostly working and now has a border around the playing field. I got camera zoom working, scaled line drawing, and some state management stuff wired up. I even
started writing my own basic AI.
Edit: Alpha link removed, head to the day 7 journal for the official release!
So I drug myself down to bed and fell asleep. But it was a listless one... The toys and monsters danced through my head until I finally woke up at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep. At least I had a cool idea: When the monsters get the hope, they get super charged. When the Toys get the hope, they get some team pool points they can spend on extra attacks or movement. I wrote that down, but still couldn't get back to sleep. Instead, I got back to work. The AI deploy's his units, and I wired up the game to play itself.
I'm hoping that I can release the beta soon. There's still plenty of polish left, but I'd like to get the game play in the hand of some players. I still need to do win/loss determination, and work some state management bugs out. Then the game logic will be looking good. After that, I still have plenty of other things to do like UI/screen transitions, win screens, music, sound effects, etc.
After getting that to a good state, it was time to take the kiddo into school and walk her to her classroom. Then grocery shopping... THEN sleep. I was running out of steam, but feeling pretty good after my nap.
Back to work,
- Eck

You're lucky this wasn't a work day :P
And yes, it *does* takes its tolls for those of us with families and... well... age.
Good to know you're still hanging on!
