Any indie game recommendations?

Summer has now outstripped winter as my least favourite season. The Melbourne heatwave is in Day 3, the meterologists are claiming this is breaking all sorts of records (such as the "most consecutive days with max over 43 C"), my office area is uninhabitable and no-one's getting any sleep. I've set up a temporary work base station in a cooler area but at the end of today it still feels toasty warm. And there's still at least two more days of this to go. Blech. Everyone's pointing out that at least we're not in Adelaide, which is a few degrees hotter for a few days longer, but it doesn't make me any less grumpy.

I'll try to get work done when I can, but I'm not really thinking straight enough for anything serious. Instead, does anyone want to recommend me some indie games to try (and possibly buy)? They've got to have a Mac version, and preferrably nothing involving a constant internet connection (it comes in and out in this weather, and my bandwidth is horribly slow). I've got time to kill for a couple of days, especially since I'm not getting much sleep, and I need to review some good indie games regardless.

So any suggestions?

Edit: Oh, before it's mentioned: I already have World of Goo. I've got a few Popcap games as well.

If only I'd finished my ice themed clone, I'd have just the right theme too.

I could also get back to my calculations for determining the optimum strategy for Countdown Dice. I'll crack it eventually. [grin]

I hear you on this damned heat-wave. The grass/bushfires in Seaford (link) were right near my parent's house and just across the road from one of my workplaces, so at least we're out of fire danger locally now that there's nothing really left to burn.

Good thing the fire didn't cause any major damage, and the burn off should help stop more serious fires later this summer.

I just hate how tired and cranky I and everyone else gets in a heatwave. I've got a pile of things I should be working on but I just feel too stupid to do them properly.

Aw, I doubt it's Mac though. My old Windows rig is set up in a very inhospitable place right now, so I'm Mac only for a few days.

Weather update: given the readings on my weather widget, it looks like Melbourne is going to hit that third consecutive 43 degree plus day. Woo, record!

Crayon Physics Deluxe

Also, no boot camp on your mac?

Also also, any plans on a tutorial 2 in inkscape adventures?

I don't think that comes with a Mac version. I trialled Crayon Physics Deluxe under Windows, and while I found the concept interesting the demo puzzles were cake walks.

Nope. More accurately I think the Boot Camp insaller is there as part of the OS, but I never thought it worth the money to buy a Windows license. They're not cheap, and the only things I need Windows for is cross-platform testing and games. I felt it better to just keep my old Windows PC operation for those.

Yep. Well sort of. I'll probably reboot the whole series. It's on my list, currently pencilled in as part of "write tutorials". Current estimate will be sometime in Q2 2009, maybe sooner if everything else falls into place quicker.
