terrain mapping
we need an effective way to tile terrains..does anyone know of any proceedural techniques
what we need is to have the texture look good close up and not look patterned from far..

I just finshed out terrain engine using a tile system. The main idea what that Tile could carry more then one value with it, unlike a heightmap. These other vaules will be for multi texturing(already implemented), among other things in the works.
It works alot like a heightmap terrain engine. All tha effects in that SS are without lighting even, cant wait to get that working with Nazrix=)
